Questions We’ve Been Asked This Week

I received my dress and when I opened the package I am very disappointed, it looks totally wrong, the fabric used and the way it is cut is very poor and it also looks really strange. What’s happened?

Dear customer, we would like to remind you that when we pack and ship the dress, it is folded up inside out. As the occasions dress is a very delicate piece of clothing, we fold it inside out to protect the outer layer of the dress, especially ones with beading and embroidery. We expect you to turn around the dress to reverse it, so you will see the beautiful outer side of the dress.

I noticed the price of some items has gone up, why is that? (The original price has gone up, without any promotion or sales accounted.)

We have adjusted our pricing for some dresses because of the increase in material and labour costs due to a new labour law enforced by the Chinese government. Sorry for any inconvenience caused, but you could take advantage of one of the offers I spoke about earlier in this blog to get yourself a tasty discount! ;-0

Will the Christmas holidays make my package late?

China is ‘open for business’ during Christmas and so post leaving us will not be affected very much or at all, however there may be some delays in your country. As ever with any holidays the key to getting packages on time is to order as early as possible to account for any delay. I am having trouble placing orders on your website! I have tried many times, but it didn’t go through. What can I do? Please help.

Please call or email us to let us know the exact problem, you can copy and paste the webpage where there is a window popping up describing the technical problem that you have encountered, and send this in the email to us. Our IT department will help to identify the problem and try to solve it.

If still it cannot be solved, our customer support staff will help you place the order using our internal account. Please have all your information written down in the email about the products that you plan to order and your personal contact information, such as delivery address and phone number. Our staff can always help you to place an order if you’re unsure about anything!

If I order a standard sized dress, but I have a plus sized bust, and all my other measurements fit in the standard size, would the dress still fit me well?

If you have a plus size bust, no matter if you are ordering a standard sized dress or custom sized dress, you need to provide the detailed measurements of your bust, for example, your cup size, upper bust circumference, full bust circumference and lower bust circumference. Then we will check and feed back to you if any changes are needed. At most we will adjust the size of your dress to make sure that it fits.

Is it possible for delivery to the Netherlands be paid COD (Cash On Delivery)?

No, we do not allow delivery to be paid COD, ie., paying after you have received the parcel, whether it is to the Netherlands or any country. All the goods price and parcel charges need to be paid right after you have placed the order, as we cannot start to process your order until then. Plus, we have a special agreement with Express Delivery companies on price terms, therefore we’re able to offer you a specially discounted price, which is generally considerably cheaper than you paying it by yourself.

Everything’s Always At Its Cheapest On Black Friday, Right?

According to dealnews.com that may not actually be the case, as even though the prices for certain items are ‘reduced’ on black friday, bigger reductions often come after the holiday season.

Of course, prices are always low at OuterInner.com, especially during this holiday season 2011 with the holiday group on offer which allows savings of up to 65% and the pre-holiday sale where prices start at just $39 for a new dress! But I thought this article was interesting for everyone just in case you had your eye on buying something other than formal dresses from OuterInner.com.

Basically the blog deals with the 10 most popular items that in fact AREN’T cheaper on black friday and I’ll run through dealnews.com’s top 10 items to avoid right here:

Toys: Black Friday isn’t the best time to buy toys for the holidays. They’ll likely still be discounted, and it may feel pretty good to get your shopping done early, but you won’t love that sinking feeling you’ll get when you see those toys even cheaper about two weeks before Christmas.

Top-Brand TVs: Black Friday is an excellent time to get a cheap TV, but don’t expect the best deals to be flooded with brand-name sets (Sony, Samsung, Sharp, Panasonic etc). Those will come later.

2012 Calendars: Wait until the end of January or early February to see the first significant discounts on 2012 calendars.

Christmas Decorations: While you’ll get fantastic deals on Christmas items the closer you get to the holiday itself, and of course after the holiday, you can still score a relatively good deal if you skip Black Friday and shop on Cyber Monday for these festive goods.

Jewelry: This entire category is flagged “do not buy” for the holiday season. Jewelry is a very popular choice as a gift to loved ones during the holidays, therefore stores are reluctant to give good deals on them. Wait if you can!

The North Face Denali Jacket: This is one of the brand’s most-popular standard styles, and its price will go up and down as new colors are released each season. But the lowest prices we’ve seen on this style in the past three years have come in the late spring through summer months (with the occasional outliers). This goes for many winter clothes, so try and shop for them in the summer!

Roku 2 XS Media player: Last year there was an excellent offer on Black Friday from Amazon for this best-seller, but then an even better deal (again from Amazon, for $8 less and bundled with a streaming media credit) came along in mid and late December. Therefore, we’d recommend holding out until December for the Roku 2 XS this year.

Game Console without a Bundled Item: Bear in mind that the Xbox and Playstation are getting old now, but if you want to buy one just make sure that you’re getting a sizeable free gift card or a few top-name game titles with your purchase. (Price check the games though, as you might be able to get the bundle cheaper if they happen to be on sale over the Black Friday weekend.)

Winter Apparel: There are some vouchers and coupons to spend on clothing over Black Friday weekend. Use these coupons on items that are already heavily discounted in the sale section to get the greatest value; winter apparel will see better base discounts in January.

Watches: Just like jewelry, there are better deals on watches during the spring and particularly during the summer.

How Do I Join Holiday Group On Offer?

It’s easy! To join this offer you and your friends need to use the same code when buying a dress AND pay with PayPal.

Let’s look at how it all works:

Your ‘Holiday Group On Offer Code’ is very important, as it’s how we work out your discount.

Each group or team needs to use the SAME code, as then we will know how many people ordered with it and can work out your discount. DON’T get individual codes. Speak to your friends and then one person get the code and give to everyone else.

Discounts are based upon the number of people that used one code, not the total number of dresses that were ordered.

Group on codes are valid for 2 weeks from the day that the code was requested. This gives you time to pass the code around to your friends and for everyone to place an order.

After the 2 weeks are up then we will not accept more people’s orders using this code and will count up the number of people who used that code to work out your group’s discount and then start refunding them based up on this number.

Orders placed WITHOUT a group on code will be charged the regular price, so don’t forget to add the code at checkout.

Why Do I Have To Pay With PayPal?

We ask everyone to pay with PayPal as we refund your discount here. That’s because it’s fast and easy for you to get your money back and it’s impossible for us to refund you directly to your bank account.

Questions We’ve Been Asked This Week

I’m not sure if my shape is regular or not. Would it help if I send you a picture of myself when I order my dress?

Yes, of course you’re welcome to send us any pictures that you think might help us to make sure that your dress is a perfect fit when it reaches you! We will give any photos to our dressmaker then they can compare them to your measurements (in the case of custom size dresses) or the requested size when producing the dress. You’ll receive an email from our customer support, so you can send us a picture to there or to ‘inquiry@outerinner.com’ along with your order number.

Can you make the dress exactly the same as the one shown on photo?

We are sorry, but we cannot guarantee that the dress you receive will be 100% the same as the shown photo, because every person’s dress is hand-made by one of our dressmakers so there can be slight differences. However, don’t worry! This isn’t to say that you will receive the wrong dress and the dress will be the same color and style as the picture.

If I place my order now, can I pay for it at a later time?

Yes you can, but we would like to remind you that the unpaid order will be kept in our system for two months, then the order will be deleted and you need to place a new order and the price could be different than at the time you placed the original order.
